Who Provides the Service

Barbara Laird is a Registered Psychologist (PSY0002509437) with a specialisation in Community Psychology. With a varied background in therapeutic settings and a range of clients, she enjoys working from a holistic perspective within a recovery-based framework.  Barbara focuses on personal strengths and skills to facilitate change and resilience in a safe environment.

Barbara works with individuals sixteen and over who are experiencing anything from mild to moderate mental distress.

About The Service

This service is for treatment only.  Formal assessments are not available.  Referrals can be made through your General Practitioner or treating Specialist via fax.  Self-referrals can be made via phone or email.


Service Provision

Sessions are face-to-face, client-centred and last for up to 50 minutes in duration. The focus is upon addressing concerns, unique to each person, utilising evidence-based therapies and techniques.  The service is confidential and completely voluntary.  Payment for sessions is required at the time of appointment, unless prior arrangements have been made.  Late cancellation fees will apply.
